181: Scuba Certification

Cat life was interesting and eye opening on two fronts for me. First, I don’t spend anytime in my living room this time of year. Second, it took patience and adjusting for me to spend time with the cat. I also kept on calling it Clark despite his name being Goose. Towards the end I just referred to it as cat. I had to make points to spend time in my living room. Post workout versus sitting on my front porch I sat on the ground and played with the cat. Reading, instead of going outside or my bed I read from my chair. I refused to eat inside still, especially since he didn’t like the kitchen. Learned a lot though. One, increasing my flexibility is a continual thing for me. Two, if I ever get a pet they will be an indoor/outdoor pet and will live my life not me adjusting to theirs. This likely means I will be getting a dog and not a cat. Ironically, the chores around the cat I didn’t mind like the litter box, feeding it or playing with it. Out of all of the chores the litter sand getting everywhere was by far the worst, especially being barefoot! A cover to the box would have gone far in containing it. As of now, I’m thankful I don’t have a pet though a dog to be my companion at home would be amazing!
